Another year of showing is over. The week flew by, and a lot of fun was had by all. We did fairly well with our cattle. My Jersey five-year-old that I had intended to leave home was the Reserve Grand Champion for her breed. Pretty good for us, haven’t done that well since old Dixie passed away three years ago. Didn’t do as well with the Holsteins as we thought we would though. Had a first and several seconds, but most of our placings were well down the line. Still, it was a fairly fun year all and all. Got to deal with a lot of BS the first few days, but it was still good to get to see old friends. The barn was way down on numbers and the whole fair was rather empty, you could literally see the whole shebang in about five or six minutes depending on how many people were there. I will post some pictures of the string and show in a few days when I have some more time.
Only four days ‘til school starts now. BLAH!
