Final Night Express PBR Classic

Sunday night was one of literal bone crushing action for some, and a night of celebration for others. Jody Newberry took home top honors covering all four of his bulls with a total of 356.25 points. Trailing behind him for second place was rookie Travis Briscoe with 353.00 points and a 93.25 on Mossy Oak Mudslinger giving Briscoe the highest marked ride of the season at this point. Ross Coleman finished fifth but his buckoff on Hurt So Good in the final go round was not surprising. Hurt So Good is a fairly small bull but has bucked off all of the thirty riders to attempt him, and Coleman's 6'1 frame gave him a decided disadvantage.

The end of the third go round saw one cowboy heading for a hospital with broken ribs and a punctured lung. 18-year old rookie
L.J. Jenkins rode his bull, Old #7, but his dismount put him in a very dangerous place, right under the hind feet of the massive animal. Needless to say, Old #7 landed right on his ribs. Jenkins was able to get out of the arena with some help and was taken to a regional hospital to undergo tests. There is no word yet on when he will return to competition but Dr. Freeman stated during the event that it would likely not be for several weeks. No surprise there. Hopefully, Jenkins will be alright and won't suffer any complications from the injury. On a lighter note for this tough young cowboy, despite not being able to ride in the final go round he still finished in 12 position picking up 171.75 points on two bulls for a total of 246.75 points toward the agregate.

We all know that justin M. is the hottest man to ever crawl on a bull's back, but as far as rookies go....i'd have to say that lj jenkins is the hottest.
