Veteran Bull Fighter to Retire

Twenty eight years is a long time to participate in any sport. According to an announcement made by the PBR, veteran fighter Rob Smetts will call it a career after the World Finals in Vegas this October. At forty seven, he has saved many a cowboys bacon taking some hard hits from big bad bulls that would have loved to crush their riders. His fellow fighters and riders nicknamed him the "Kamikaze Kid" because of how bold he was in the arena. His retirement will leave a large gap, especially as his announcement follows the passing of another one of the fighters, Greg Crabtree.

Greg was killed while working with a bulldozer right around Thanksgiving.
